All educational establishments have a statutory responsibility to give their students access to independent, impartial careers information, advice and guidance.

Connexions Sandwell offers a traded service to schools, academies and colleges both inside and outside the Sandwell area.

We provide high quality careers information, advice and guidance which enables establishments to:

• Fully meet their statutory commitments in this area
• Help maximise the number of positive destinations for students
• Contribute towards the Gatsby ‘Good Careers Guidance’ benchmarks

Careers and Enterprise Company

Connexions Sandwell has links with the Careers and Enterprise Company.

The CEC links schools and colleges to employers and helps them deliver careers support to all young people.

They do this by:

1. Building networks: Linking schools and colleges to employers and other external careers providers through the Enterprise Adviser Network and Careers Hubs.
2. Supporting Careers Leaders: Providing training and support for Careers Leaders in schools and colleges.
3. Backing the The Gatsby Benchmarks by supporting their implementation with tools and targeted funding.
